Marie is an experienced director of classical texts, modern texts and devised works and is the resident director for Pluto Productions. 2020/21 directing online: Strange Love for Garden Productions, Marble Run by Fiona Whitelaw and Where & When, You Killed My Husband & Fighting For Life for Pluto Productions. Other recent plays include Immaculate Deception and Stalag XXB for Scouse Productions, Blue Skies and #HelloMyNameIs for Pluto Productions, Macbeth, Romeo & Juliet, The Seance, Change and A Midsummer Night’s Dream for Oxbridge Programs. Also this is me and Mess! for Foan & Fortune.
Projects as an assistant director include The Tempest with David Tucker 2021, The Course of True Love with Helen Tennison 2020 and improvisational based show Pandemonium.

Puppetry Directing credits include Jacaranda for Pentabus & Theatre By The Lake, Little Mess! digital puppetry film for Foan & Fortune in association with Little Angel Theatre and Attenborough Arts Centre, The Hunting of the Snark performed at the Latitude Festival and UK tour, Caliban and the Magicke Booke performed at the British Library for Shakespeare 400 World Book Night and Mess! performed at the Mimetic Festival. Puppetry consultation for research and development projects include Acceptable Damage at Theatre Royal Stratford East and The Clangers for Birmingham Stage Company and Epsilon Productions.

Marie is experienced in writing original scripts for theatre, adapting existing works and producing scripts from a devising process. Notable commissions include Shakes It Up! for the Sharjah Literary Festival and Dubai International Arts Centre, award winning family show Mess! performed at the Little Angel Theatre and Mimetic Festival and A Dramatic Exploration of Henslowe’s Diary for Globe Education with Professor David Crystal and Passion in Practice performed at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse.
